Additionally, LED light bulbs consume very little electricity. They are also shatterproof, run cool to the touch, and contain no mercury or hazardous substances. What's not to like?
DTLED10-61 traditional hardwired LED art lights like this Direct Wire LED with a 10” shade in the polished brass finish, would be great to light up art up to 20” wide. The LED provides the equivalent of 25 watts.
TLED14-56 LED Picture Lights This 14” Traditional lamp is a plug in that you can attach to the back of the frame. The #56 finish is a statuary bronze, but the TLED style is available in all of the quality House of Troy finishes. The 14” shade is optimum for paintings under 28” wide, and provides the equivalent of 50 watts of light.
HLED12-71 The Horizon style family is a very new look for wall mounted plug in art light. The HLED style has a backplate that mounts to the wall, but is a plug in lamp, so it does not require an electrician or any carpentry beyond putting a couple nails in the wall. The Horizon is always an LED style, and now the Horizon is also available as a direct wire, called the DHLED. Both the HLED and the DHLED come in 12” and 26” wide shades. The rectangular shades, together with the narrow rectangular backplate would suit design schemes for urban spaces with a modern, industrial appeal.

A fine way to bring contemporary LED frame lighting into your life is the Slim LED style #SLED20. Like our other model Slim-Line lamps the elegant and slender one inch diameter tube that is its shade seems to float over the picture frame and cast a warm white light. The 20" shade requires a 2-watt LED bulb strip (supplied with lamp). There is a 10-foot white cord with a transformer on the plug and an in-line switch. The SLED line comes in a variety of fine finishes including antique brass, polished brass, satin nickel, or polished chrome.
If you prefer a different style check out the TLED14 line. A 14" long shade is 1.375" tall and uses a 2.4 watt LED bulb strip (included with lamp). The on/off switch is on the shade itself. The lamp casts a classic warm white light and the bulb has a 30,000 hour lifetime. This lamp also has a 10-foot long white cord with a transformer. This lamp comes in gold, satin brass, satin nickel, polished brass, antique brass or mahogany bronze. Like other picture lamps it is a good idea to get a picture light about half as wide as the picture it is intended for.
